Imagery Produced for Show
The interim show was to showcase work that was being made for around 3 months as part of the final images. The interim was to showcase development also show areas where I could progress for the next three months of work. It was discussed how the imagery could relate more back to myself as the photographer, as this was a personally directed project.
The interim show that we had in December, showed initial development of the project and printing, which will be a key part to the final show in June. The use of the inkjet printer provided a better-quality finish of print, then to the digital press printer. By using the inkjet printer, it meant I had more control over the highlights and shadows that were shown in the images printed. Compared to the prints that had been produced on the digital press previously, the results were much better quality and there was a clear difference in the final image.
Using the inkjet printer, has shown me what kind of quality I can expect when using industry standard printers for future work. The inkjet printer showed to me, that it is a printer that i will consider using for the final show. Due to the quality and longevity of how long the prints last, meaning I can use them for a physical portfolio in the future.
