Open Day

Applying for Manchester Met’s post graduate open day was very simple and easy to navigate when booking. After booking in December 2021, there was follow up emails that provided information on travel to the university, contents of what would be taking place on the day and how the process of applying would happen. Arriving at the university, there were many people to help guide us around and help sign us in, this made the open day feel more structured.

The welcome talk was engaging and was well structured, this helped me feel at ease about the rest of the day and applying to the university for a post graduate degree. The rest of the talks that I attended, were about the photography course, accommodation stalls and information about how to fund a post graduate degree. The photography talk contained sections such as how the modules are structured, previous works produced by students and what requirements are needed to qualify for the course. The course seemed to be engaging and there is more opportunities to network within the university community and beyond. This course would help me develop my photographic skills and techniques, alongside other elements of engaging with job prospects and concentrating on full creative control within my work.
